White Plains Man Evades Cops, Kicks Out Squad Car Window: Police

26-year-old city resident faces a number of misdemeanors.

A White Plains man was arrested last weekend after illegally motoring away from county cops and damaging a squad car, authorities told Patch.

Cops attempted to pull over a Toyota Celica on the Bronx River Parkway in Scarsdale on Sunday at about 2 a.m., police said, when the motorist refused to stop. Instead, he exited off the highway and attempted to squeeze his vehicle between two cars at a stoplight, becoming stuck.

The driver, a 26-year-old South Lexington Avenue resident, was then arrested by Westchester County authorities and placed in the back of a squad car—where he proceeded to kick out one of the windows, police said.
