Public Safety Commissioner To Release Chamberlain Audio, Video

I would like to thank the Grand Jury for their due diligence. I am confident that they were presented with a factual and complete investigation by the District Attorney.
We recognize that a life was lost, and this decision does not diminish that fact.

As a Department, we strive for continuous improvement. I have assured the Mayor that the Department will now complete its internal review of the incident. The Department will also fully cooperate with the independent study that the Mayor has called for.
The Department of Public Safety will make copies of police investigative materials, including copies of video and audio recordings, available to members of the media.
