Police: Man Caught Stealing Jewelry on Valentine's Day

The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

A White Plains man spent part of his Valentine's Day in police custody after he was charged with stealing jewelry from Sears.

Store security called police after they say a 20-year old man pocketed a women's ring and necklace, valued a combined $159.98, and tried to leave the store at about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police charged the man with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was held for court.
