Storms Wreak Havoc on Transportation

There are delays on Metro North and at the region's airports.

The Metro North commuter railroad reports delays on the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines.

According to the Wall Street Journal, problems in Connecticut cascaded during the afternoon commute.

As the WSJ reported, "The trains stopped after the overhead catenary wires grounded out, said Marjorie Anders, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The likely cause of the grounding: contact with trees, which were whipped by passing wind and thunderstorms."
