In a game with FD-Florham on the 9th, Ed Fargo ('10) of the U.S. Maritime College, had 1 ground ball, 1 turn around, and 2 caused turnover in the 7-3 loss. At Western Ct. on the 9th, he had 1 shot and 1 give back in the 10-1 loss.
Track & Field
At the MAAC Indoor Championship on 2/17, Kelly Maguire (White Plains '11) of Loyola of Maryland placed 2nd in the women's 400 meter run, with a clocking of 2:22.36, while as the lead off runner in the Women's Distance Medley, she and her quartet were 2nd in their race, with a time of 12:17.87.
Softball
It was an upbeat start for Victoria Hernandez (White Plains '11) of Pace, as the freshman starting left fielder for the Setters, in the season opener at home on the 10th, batted 1-2, scored a run, had 1 r.b.i, walked once and fanned once in the 7-0 blanking of N.Y.I.T.
They also copped the 2nd game, 3-0, as she walked and fanned once each.
Jamie Klotz (White Plains '11) and the Muhlenberg Mules won both games on the 8th, as they first blasted Northwestern of Minnesota, 13-2, with the former Tiger having a first inning single that drove in run, and had 1 put out in right field. Against DeSales of Pa. in the nightcap, she went 1-2, had another r.b.i., and had 1 putout in the 9-0 shut out of the Bulldogs.
