Spring, Summer Highlight Fight Against Cancer in Lower Hudson Valley

In Tarrytown this weekend, a passel of determined Lower Hudson Valley residents will work together to fundraise—and stamp out cancer.

This spring and summer bring a slew of Relay for Life events to the region, including Saturday's event at the Hackley School by the Hudson River. Some 11 teams and 95 participants have already raised over $25,000.

The events—staged by the American Cancer Society—raise awareness alongside money. After all, it's "the world's largest walk to end cancer," according to the society's website.
