Noonday Concert at Grace Episcopal Church; Pajamarama at the White Plains Library

  • The Grace Episcopal Church in White Plains is hosting violinist Helena Baillie and pianist Tanya Gabrielian today for its “Noonday Getaway Concert” series.  Baillie is  a prizewinner in the Munich ARD, Banff, and Tetris competitions.  is emerging as an artist of uncommon communicative depth. She will join Gabrielian for a program which includes the Suite Italienne of Igor Stravinsky and selections from Felix Mendelssohn's Songs without Words. The event, which is free, begins noon. The church is located at 33 Church St.
  • The White Plains Library is hosting “Act it Up,”, three session drama workshop theater games  and script reading for students in grades 3-6, today at 4:30 p.m. A group performance will be. There will also be sessions held on Oct. 16 and Oct. 23. A final group session is scheduled for Oct. 23. Registration is required.
  • The White Plains Library will host Pajamarama: "Night Owls," tonight at 7 p.m. The event, which is for children ages 2 to 5, invited participants to  Wear their pajamas and bring a stuffed animal friend for stories, songs, activities and a bedtime snack. tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the  program starts.   • The Microsoft Store, located at The Westchester mall in White Plains, is hosting Family Game Night today from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Go here to register. The mall is located at 125 Westchester Ave.
