Snow in Today's Forecast; DAE Hold Open House for 3D Printer




  • The White Plains Library is hosting the “Job Club” Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Career counselors Ginny Ruder and Rose Macom will lead the ongoing weekly job club, with discussions on topics such as resume writing, preparing for an interview, using the Internet to conduct a job search and tips on developing a strong professional network. Each session will include time to ask questions and share ideas. The White Plains Library is located at 100 Martine Ave.

  • The White Plains Library is hosting its Teen Review Book Club today at 5 p.m. There is open enrollment and teens can join anytime to review books before they are published. Pizza and refreshments will be served.

  • The Digital Arts Experience is having an open house for its 3D printer today, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. During the event, the DAE will explore the technology and discover how it can offer a lot more than simply the ability to print really neat objects. There will also be a demonstration of the printer. The event is free to attend. Register at dae3drelease.eventbrite.com. The DAE is located at 170 Hamilton Ave. in White Plains.

  • Whole Foods in White Plains announced that it is providing free parking on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday. Parking will be validated for up to two hours with any purchase, no matter how large or small.
