Diabetically Speaking

I am a diabetic and feel the need for a place to meet and talk with others about the disease and how we live with it.

Its been about 10 years since I was informed I was a type 2 diabetic. During that time I have had periods of very good control with good Hba1c numbers and other times very apathetic and not such great control.

Excercise, diet and medications, sounds easy right?

Early on when the Dr scared me (alot) I had much better success controlling the disease. Now the fear has worn off and it is a daily grind to rededicate myself to excellent care.

I live and work in Westchester. I would like to start and informal panel where people can meet and talk, No obligation or sales pitch. I am interested in forming a group of like-minded diabetics where we can meet and share stories and hopefully inspire one another to a better level of care.  If interested, please e-mail me and I will be in touch to set up our first meetting.
