Burke Rehabilitation Hospital Creates New Community Stroke Support Group

Burke Rehabilitation Hospital will be sponsoring a free monthly support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers. The group will provide the opportunity to meet others who have also been affected by stroke. It will also offer valuable information, speakers and a supportive environment.

Through discussions, participants will learn ways to help problem solve, cope, and understand more about stroke and recovery issues, including lifestyle changes that reduce the risk of stroke and promote a healthy life.

  • The group will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:30 to 4:45 pm.
  • The First meeting will be held on Feb. 20.
  • The meeting will be held in Burke’s Outpatient Building (#8) in the 2nd floor conference room.
  • The group will be facilitated by Roseann Cardi RN, BSN, CRRN, from Burke’s Stroke Rehabilitation Program.

For more information or to register, please contact Roseann at 914-597-2290 or via email at rcardi@burke.org.
