The free guide, printed annually by Westchester County Tourism & Film, is available by contacting the tourism office at 800-833-9282 or 914-995-8500 or emailing tourism@westchestergov.com. It may also be picked up at the Westchester County Office Building in White Plains, the Westchester County Airport, county hotels, conference facilities and other information centers throughout the region. “We have a thriving tourism and travel industry in Westchester County that generates $1.5 billion annually, supports thousands of jobs and provides millions in tax revenue for the local economy,” said County Executive Robert P. Astorino. “The destination guide is one of the many tools used to promote the wide variety of businesses that benefit from travel, tourism and visitor spending in our county.”

The newly formatted and redesigned guide contains information on hotels and conference centers, arts and cultural attractions, restaurants and nightlife, entertainment and shopping, recreational opportunities and more.  In addition to lists of sites and venues, it includes lists of things to do (of interest to residents and visitors alike) and a fold out map on the back cover to help navigate the county.

“Whether you’re looking for family fun, cultural activities, conference space, group tour opportunities, team-building programs or just want a romantic getaway, the Westchester Destination Guide 2012 will help you plan an unforgettable experience,” said Director of Tourism & Film Natasha Caputo. “The destination guide is filled with a variety of helpful information about group-friendly hotels, exceptional meeting sites, exciting attractions, events and great restaurants that make Westchester an ideal place for business or leisure travel.”

Westchester County Tourism & Film is the county’s official destination marketing organization. The office is dedicated to promoting and advancing tourism, providing an enjoyable visitor experience and enhancing Westchester County’s positive image as a destination for both leisure and business travel.
