For the second year, the acclaimed Harlem Fine Arts Show will make a stop in White Plains. And this year, it will include a special honoree—renowned illustrator Jerry Pinckney.
White Plains has once again been honored as the only presenter of this show in Westchester County. The Harlem Fine Arts Show is the premier showcase of contemporary art celebrating the African Diaspora.
Over the years, the Harlem Fine Arts Show has exhibited the work of more than 300 artists in a variety of media, supported numerous charitable organizations and helped elevate awareness of contemporary African diasporic art as a viable and excitingarea for collecting and connoisseurship.
The White Plains show will take place on Thursday, December 6 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Reckson building lobby, 360 Hamilton Avenue. The White Plains event is the precursor tothe Harlem Fine Arts Show, which will be held during Black History Month, February 7 – 10, 2013 at Riverside Church in Harlem.
