Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester (HPCW) recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with its annual “In Celebration” Gala Cocktail Reception at Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y.
More than 200 guests attended the event, which raised funds to support the Anna & Louis H. Shereff Caregiver and Complementary Care programs.
The evening honored White Plains medical practice Maple Medical, LLP, represented by Louis D. Vizioli, MD, and also recognized all former HPCW honorees for their continued support. Jennifer Watts, Board Chair of HPCW thanked the sponsors, contributors, and honorees for continuing to support HPCW’s programs and services. Mary K. Spengler, MS, Executive Director of HPCW reflected on the history of the organization, touching upon the milestones and successes they have seen over the years. Laurence Gottlieb, Director of Economic Development for Westchester County, presented Watts and Spengler with a proclamation on behalf of Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino. The program concluded with a special tribute to Mrs. Anna L. Shereff for her steadfast dedication.
HPCW board members Michele Geller of Hastings-on-Hudson and William F. Flooks, Jr., proprietor of Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, served as event co-chairs.
