N.Y. State Senator Suzi Oppenheimer and Broadway Composer Steven Schwartz Honored
Westchester County, NY (July 18, 2102) – Music Conservatory of Westchester’s (MCW) eleventh annual Golf & Tennis Classic was recently held at the Whippoorwill Club in Armonk, N.Y. where more than 60 golfers and tennis players helped raise funds for the Conservatory’s scholarships and tuition assistance programs. MCW presented Oppenheimer with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Schwartz with the Maestro Award. Both thanked MCW for the many ways the school is a cultural hub in Westchester County and beyond.
“The Conservatory provides the tri-state area with invaluable performing arts programs for students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds,” said Senator Oppenheimer. “It’s my privilege to support this dynamic organization and witness the positive differences that its creative teachings have made in the lives of so many individuals.”

Conservatory programs touch the lives of more than 2500 students each year through onsite programs in our White Plains facility, and outreach programs in partnership with more than 25 school districts and community organizations.
