Stand-up comedian and writer Colin Quinn will be the featured performer at Stepinac High School’s “Comedy Night to Benefit the Children of Coach Joe O’Grady, ” Friday evening, April 29. The benefit will be held at the school’s auditorium at 950 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains from 7 PM until midnight. The comedy show starts at 8:15 PM and there will also be an ongoing party in the school’s cafeteria throughout the night.
Proceeds from the show and party, which costs $100 per person, will be used to help the education fund of O'Grady's three children. The former Stepinac Baseball Coach died at 38 last year following a battle with cancer.
Stepinac Coach Mike O’Donnell stated: “We are very pleased that Colin Quinn has agreed to join us in a comedy show for a great cause that will benefit Joe O’Grady’s children.” He added: “Joe O’Grady led a life full of laughter and an amazing love for his wife, Shannon, their three children and his family and friends. We are going to celebrate Joe’s remarkable life during this special event.”
To purchase tickets, checks should be made out to O’Grady Children Trust Agreement and mailed to O’Grady Benefit, Box 849, TN Station, Bronx, NY 10465. Please be sure to include name and address for tickets to be mailed.
