The Melting Pot of White Plains is embracing the true meaning of the holiday season by donating their time and earnings on Christmas Eve to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® Thanks and Giving® campaign. This special dining event has been a restaurant tradition for over five years. The team hopes to gain full community support as the staff works even harder than ever to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer.
The Melting Pot of White Plains will be open for both lunch and dinner on December 24 and will offer guests tasty cheese fondues, salads, entrées and chocolate fondues. During this festive event, the restaurant will also cater to both small and large parties and promises to provide a relaxing holiday atmosphere.
“Our Christmas Eve dining event attracts many Westchester County neighbors to our restaurant due to the selfless and tireless efforts put forth by our staff for a wonderful cause,” said Kathy Longo, general manager of The Melting Pot of White Plains. “Our employees sincerely appreciate the support of the local community and look forward to serving guests for the benefit of St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital®.”
During this special dining affair, the restaurant will also hold a balloon pop raffle for a chance to win valuable prizes donated by generous local retailers. The gifts will include wines from Vino 100 and a gift certificate to Salon Diva, with 100 percent of the raffle proceeds going to St. Jude.

About St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
Since opening 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives and, for every child treated here, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries. The hospital has played a pivotal role in pushing U.S. pediatric cancer survival rates from 20 to 80 percent overall, and is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. It is also a leader in the research and treatment of blood disorders and infectious diseases in children. St. Jude was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, who believed that no child should die in the dawn of life.
