Region's United Way Offers Adventures via Online Auction

More than 125 unique items up for grabs to benefit nonprofit’s community initiatives

United Way of Westchester and Putnam is hosting an online auction as part of its 50th Anniversary Celebration.  The auction will raise needed funds for its community initiatives in education, income and health. 

In addition to offering unique collectibles, spa services, and original art, a majority of the more than 125 auction items present once-in-a-lifetime opportunities including: Two tickets to the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles; an Astronaut Training Experience at Kennedy Space Center;  a trip for two to Kenya, Africa; tickets to next year’s Super Bowl, a NASCAR driving experience; Le Cordon Bleu culinary experience in Paris; two premier ticket to Madonna in concert in Miami; and tickets to see pop icon Justin Bieber! Some items will close early and new items will be added on a weekly basis – so make sure you check out the website on a regular basis.

New items will be added on a weekly basis. The online auction is accessible via United Way’s website,www.uwwp.org.  Bidding begins now and ends on October 4th 2012, following United Way’s Top Chefs Celebration at Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY on October 3rd.  This delectable evening will showcase six of the county’s most notable chefs with a cocktail hour and an extravagant five-course dinner paired with fine wines, benefiting United Way’s ongoing work within our community.  A limited number of tickets are available.  For more information about the Top Chefs dinner or the online auction, please visit www.uwwp.org or contact Mary Lou Martucci, 914-997-6700 ext. 711.
