Carol Bennett-Schnorr of White Plains was honored March 15th by Gilda’s Club Westchester at their annual Comedy Gala with the Barbara Bennett-Rones Volunteer of the Year award.
Actively involved in Gilda’s Club Westchester since its inception in 1997, Carol has participated in all aspects of the organization, including active executive directors, president of the Board of Directors, and president of Gildas’s Club World Wide Affiliate Council.
Carol’s outstanding devotion to Gilda’s Club Westchester over the years has made her an inspiration to all.
Before Gilda’s Club Westchester, Carol was a principal with Bennett, Kielson & Company, a leading Westchester accounting firm, specializing in municipalities and not-for-profits. She was Director of Human Resources and Administration and did on-campus recruiting for the firm. Carol volunteers for numerous non-profits and also serves on the board of the Greater New York Council of Reform Synagogues.
The organization honored Carol with The Barbara Bennett Rones Award. This prestigious award is given to community members who demonstrate outstanding dedication and servitude to Gilda’s Club Westchester, a cancer
support community offering free support for everyone living with cancer- men, women, teens and children- along with their families and friends.
