More than 100 regional elementary schools and participating parish schools across the Archdiocese of New York are participating in this unique new student recruiting initiative. This school year marks the first time all nine regions in the Archdiocese of New York will be engaged in the program, designed to introduce new families to the life-long benefits and value of a Catholic education.

"Choosing the right school is one of the most important choices a parent can make for their child’s future. ‘Touring Tuesdays’ are a wonderful opportunity for parents to learn about the benefits of a faith-based education. Our academic success story begins in early childhood and elementary school and continues with 98% of our graduating seniors going on to college,” stated Dr. Timothy McNiff, Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of New York. “Touring Tuesdays scheduled throughout the year will help us introduce more prospective families to our academically excellent Catholic schools and the safe, nurturing environment that leads to academic success.”

His Eminence, Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan, is an avid supporter of the initiative and will participate in an open house with a tour of Our Lady of Lourdes School in Manhattan from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 11th. While there, the Cardinal will observe the feast day celebration of Our Lady of Lourdes with students and faculty.
