FASNY: STRANGER THAN FICTION

Mayor Roach and Common Council Members,

Failure to inform your constituents what transpired during the summer months when you met with the FASNY delegation, compounded by canceling a meeting at City Hall on December 9th, disappointing a room full of anxious citizens awaiting their fate, creates suspicions about what is going.

Without some transparency, your activities conjure up unflattering thoughts and questions.

Could it be that the White Plains City government has turned into Tamanny Hall? Without transparency, and I don't mean the "delicate" details of your negotions, but just a clue as to what has been going on and where we stand, will and already has evoked unflattering comments about our City Government.

You have received countless letters which should give you a clear idea where the people stand.  Perhaps, you should give these cogent letters to FASNY to illustrate how passionately we oppose their school coming to our community.

Your actions toward those you represent including failure to respond to e-mails, canceling a meeting at the last minute with an insufficient explanation and apology, and lack of transparency are all very disappointing.

I end this with great frustration but with the hope that you will come to your senses and vote NO to FASNY'S proposal.

Sanford S. Zevon, M.D.
