New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli guest speaker at Westchester Government Relations Legislative Breakfast

New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli was guest speaker at the Westchester Government Relations Legislative Breakfast, hosted on Friday, March 16th, by UJA-Federation of New York and Westchester Jewish Council at the Jewish Community Center of Harrison. Mr. DiNapoli spoke about the current economic climate of New York and its impact on the Westchester community and nonprofits and agencies serving its population.

“The not-for-profit sector employs 14 percent of our state’s workforce. That’s 1.2 million people,” Mr. DiNapoli told the gathering. “New York is a stronger state when the not-for-profit sector is encouraged, supported, and enhanced.”

Attendees also heard from New York Congresswoman Nita Lowey and Westchester Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett.
