Stepinac High School Drama Club Presented With Pilot License By Walt Disney Theatricals To Produce The Regional Premiere of Mary Poppins

Archbishop Stepinac High School’s award-winning Drama Club announces auditions for its spring musical, MARY POPPINS.  This will be a regional premiere.  Walt Disney Theatricals has presented the school’s drama club with a pilot license to produce the show. Only six high schools across the country have been given this opportunity.

This classical Disney story of the whimsical, proper, and high-spirited nanny consists of a cast with many featured roles and a large ensemble.

Auditions are currently not open to elementary age male or female children at this time; however, feel free to contact the school’s theatre department with your information for possible future consideration.

Interested females should attend one of the following audition dates: (a) January 13th any time between 3:30pm–6pm OR (B) January 14th anytime between 6pm–8:30pm.  Each day auditions will be on a first come first serve basis.  For your audition, bring a positive attitude, come prepared to dance (bring tap shoes if you tap and/or character shoes), and sing at least 16 bars of a musical-theater appropriate song.  An accompanist will be available to play your sheet music.

Callbacks for ensemble or featured roles will require attendance on BOTH callback dates: Jan 15th (6pm–9pm) for vocal callbacks AND January 16th (3:30pm–6pm) for dancing and acting callbacks.

Audition and callbacks for MARY POPPINS will take place at the Major Bowes Auditorium in Archbishop Stepinac High School (950 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains), easily accessible from I-287, the Hutchinson River Parkway, or Metro North to White Plains and the number 60 Bee Line bus.
