White Plains Woman's Club Donates Backpacks

The following announcement was submitted by the Woman's Club of White Plains Foundation.

The Woman's Club of White Plains Foundation donated 30 new backpacks to the White Plains Youth Bureau to be distributed to children of the Ferris Avenue Center for Back-to-School. 

Pictured are Bhavana Pahwa, director of Project Hope at the Youth Bureau, gratefully accepting the donation from Jean Bello and Katie Hughes of the Woman's Club of White Plains Foundation.    

"The donation of these backpacks is a small step toward making sure that every child in White Plains begins the new school year armed with the necessary supplies for a confident start," said Jean Bello.
