Westchester County hosted its annual Earth Day celebration at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla on Sunday.
Despite the forecasted rain, area residents turned out to learn about protectecting the environment through recycling, composting, going green with alternative energy and gardening.
Many exhibits were set up to inform and educate visitors about environmental awareness and what everyone can do to help keep the earth a healthy planet.
