Motorists are advised that lane closures are scheduled on eastbound NY Route 119 (Tarrytown Road) between Prospect Avenue and Fulton Street between 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 until Wednesday, Oct. 9 for permit work.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers.
Travelers are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
