The Highlands Middle School in White Plains hosted New York Dharma and Yoga Festival Saturday.

The festival, sponsored by the White Plains Cares Coalition and Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, was a spiritual celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a Hindu monk credited with helping to spread the ideas of Yoga, karma, and the spiritual oneness of humanity to the western world.

The event featured classical Indian dance demonstrations, yoga and meditation worskshops,  a costume competition,  face painting and much more.
