Today is the official observance of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. It is a federal holiday so government offices, including White Plains City Hall, will be closed. White Plains public schools are not in session. Major banks will be closed also.
The United States Postal Service website said that post offices will not be open Monday. Only Express Mail will be delivered.
