Fish Tales Around Westchester

ArtsWestchester and R.A.R.E. collaborate on art exhibit.

An art exhibit called Fish Tales Around Westchester is on display at ArtsWestchester in White Plains. Thirty artists have submitted pieces of art with an aquatic-life theme including paintings, sculptures, mixed media and other forms of artistic expression.

Many species of endangered aquatic creatures once abundant in the waters around the New York region are featured in the works.

The exhibit opened June 7 and runs through Aug. 11, 2012. On June 23, July 7 and July 21, several exhibiting artists will conduct hands-on children's workshops from 1 to 3 p.m. for children to explore the theme in different mediums.
