Wall Street Journal: 'Real Housewives of Westchester' Casting Call

Remember when we told you in December that a "Real Housewives of Westchester" was in the works? WSJ spies a casting call on Craigslist.

Avid readers of Patch—wonderful people that you are—learned that a movement was afoot to stage a "Real Housewives of Westchester."

Are you ready for your close-up?

According to The Wall Street Journal, actress Mary Amy and real estate broker Nora Holmes are searching for local women to appear on the “Real Housewives of Westchester County” pilot for the addictive Bravo series.

Their ad posted on Craigslist, titled “Casting Housewives of Rye, NY for Proposal Submission (Westchester, NY),” says they are casting women aged 35-50 for an “ultra-stylish docu-soap, which follows the dynamic lives of Rye's social butterflies."

Warning Preppy Handbook throwbacks: You are not the look they're after.

"Khaki pants and Lily headbands need not apply,” the ad reads.

My whale-patterned turtleneck weeps.

To apply you must submit a photo and headshot to job-caad6-2411301939@craigslist.org.

A few women have already applied, the WSJ said, but it won't be all about the hair-grabbing, fist-throwing, cocktail-tossing trifecta we've all come to love from the Bravo series. These ladies would be “more classy,” and “smart.”

Which makes total sense, since Armonk resident and entrepreneur Leslie Wilkins-Gaudio was considered for the Westchester spin-off.

Leslie Wilkins-Gaudio is the inventor of the isABelt , an invisible belt that holds you pants in place. She and her three sisters run the company, which also sells a variety of fashion “fix-it” solutions.

Click for Patch's interview with Wilkins-Gaudio.

Bravo did not return calls to us or WSJ.
