About Bloomberg Businessweek
Founded in 1929 just weeks before the historic stock market crash, Businessweek is a weekly business magazine that was developed to provide news and information on the world of business. It is considered to be one of the first publications to cover national political issues and how they impacted the business world. Headquartered in New York City, Businessweek was purchased by Bloomberg L.P. after experiencing a rough period after the Great Recession during 2007 and 2008. Since the acquisition, the publication has returned to its former glory with its 2011 ad revenue up 65.3 percent in comparison to the previous year and has since been rebranded as Bloomberg Businessweek.
In addition to the print version of the publication available on newsstands, Businessweek launched an iPad version of the magazine in 2011, which has over 100,000 subscribers and is available through the iTunes store.
