Winged Foot's Former Executive Sous Chef Leads Food Service at The Bristal in White Plains

The Bristal at White Plains, a new assisted living community that offers memory care support as well as enhanced levels of care, has named Joao Valente as Food Service director. 

Valente was previously Executive Sous Chef at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck. He has also served as director of Culinary Services at West 86, an Atria senior living residence on Manhattan's Upper West Side. 

Valente is a resident of Yonkers where he is active in Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church and the Yonkers Portuguese American Community Center. He is married and has a son and daughter.

Located at 305 North St. in White Plains, The Bristal at White Plains is a new assisted living and memory care community which offers the look and feel of a luxury hotel while offering enhanced assisted living.
