Get Ready for Wine & Food Weekend 2012 in White Plains

The event, sponsored by Westchester Magazine and The Journal News, features more than 200 wines, 100 restaurants and 18 events from May 17-20.

For four days—White Plains will be the center of the finest food, wine, beer and desserts in the county for the , from May 17-20.

The “Burgers, BBQ and Beer Bash” is the opening affair to the weekend—sponsored by Westchester Magazine and The Journal News, that features 200 world-class wines, 100 restaurants and 18 events. 

“Burgers, BBQ and Beer Bash”—a sold out event, whose proceeds benefit The Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless—starts at 7 p.m. under a 250 ft. tent at the corner of Court and Main streets, and will feature Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, Director Kevin Nunn—along with 23 local chefs, including White Plains’ Anthony Goncalves of and Anthony Micari of .

The world of art, food and fun will collide at the ARTSBash from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the where more than 20 local artists will feature their work, while 30 local restaurants offer tastings.

The party will be moved to for the remainder of the weekend with tastings, demonstrations, classes and celebrity chef presentations.
