Studio A Gallery’s Athena Bing He wants Tarrytown to know the Main Street gallery/teaching studio “has a new face.”
Following their fall show "Different Directions," they are onto "Art as Gifts,” featuring gift-worthy—and affordably priced—items for the holidays.
The show goes from now until January 11 (since sometimes the holidays keep going!) and features jewelry, clothing, pottery, collectables, paintings, drawings, and prints by several local and regional artists and artisans.
There are new classes on the curriculum: a Saturday morning children's art class, a Sunday mixed media class, special 6-hour intensive model sessions, and a collage workshop taught by David Barnett.
And He announces a new partner.
William C. Maxwell, Professor of Art at The College of New Rochelle and the former Maxwell Fine Arts gallery and sculpture garden in Peekskiil is now collaborating with He in the daily operations of the gallery.
There’s even an a new college intern, Hilary Caraballo from the College of New Rochelle, who has joined the staff.
Browsers, shoppers, and lovers of beautiful handcrafted treasures, and those who want to learn more are welcome to come by.
Here are the holiday hours: Tuesday 12-9PM, Wednesday 12-7PM, Thursday-Friday 12-6PM, Saturday-Sunday 10AM-6PM, and by appointment.
