YONKERS, NY — The Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center recently welcomed Mr. Michelè Salituro, C.P.A., as its new Chief Financial Officer. Salituro joins the Pediatric Center with a background in Business Administration and almost 20 years of healthcare accounting and management experience.

Salituro began his career working in the “big four” accounting firms for over 11 years, with clients in the software, entertainment and healthcare industries. Following this, Salituro’s focus shifted entirely to healthcare. He served as the Vice President of Finance at what was formerly the Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in Manhattan and then was contracted as the Chief Financial Officer for Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. Most recently, Salituro spent the last two years as the Chief Financial Officer at the New York Foundling, before joining the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center in late 2013. Both the former Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers and the New York Foundling were established by the Sisters of Charity, which also founded the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center in 1987.

“Michelè will be an asset as we continue to grow and expand in the coming years,” said Patricia Tursi, Chief Executive Officer at the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center. “Not only is Michelè coming to us with a wealth of experience in this industry, but given his history with organizations tied to the Sisters of Charity, we know that he fully understands our mission and is dedicated to the work we do for our children here.”

Salituro is enthusiastic to join an organization that sets the standard for delivering long-term pediatric care.

“My role is to be a steward as all of us here at the Pediatric Center navigate the changing and at times, uncertain, climate of the healthcare industry,” he said. “The Pediatric Center is a leader in providing medically complex children with the best medical, rehabilitative and palliative care possible, and I plan to do my part to ensure that we can continue to provide these services for many, many years to come.”
