Pets & Pet Owners Invited to Grand Opening Party at White Plains Newest Veterinary Hospital Saturday

Tails will be wagging on Saturday, March 1 when Best Friends celebrates the opening of its newest veterinary hospital in White Plains. Well-mannered four-legged friends on leash and their human companions are invited to meet veterinarian Dr. Richard Demmerle and tour the facility between noon and 4 p.m.

Guests can enjoy free nail trims, free pet photos, a raffle for prices and giveaways. There will be music, a doggy ice cream social and a trivia contests. A schedule of games and activities will include a doggy shedding competition, a tail-wagging contest and musical mats game.

 In celebration of the opening, Best Friends will present a donation to Guiding Eyes for the Blind to support the organization’s work in raising and training guide dogs. Guest also can meet a local rescue group, on site with a few adorable adoptables.

Best Friends Veterinary Hospital opened in December and offers medical care for dogs, cats, reptiles, small mammals and small birds. Services include routine pet health care exams, vaccinations, emergency care; general surgery and dentistry. The practice offers on-site diagnostic testing, radiology and laboratory services.

To encourage pet owners to provide health care for their companion animals, the hospital is offering free initial exams for new pet patients during the month of March.

 Best Friends Veterinary Hospital is located at 110 South Kensico Avenue and is open Mondays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
