Bronx River Parkway Closures Today in Scarsdale, Greenburgh

Commuters should prepare for some lane closures today, Monday, Jan. 7., in Scarsdale and Greenburgh.

For commuters driving on the Bronx River Parkway between 9:30 and 10:00 this morning, be advised. There will be two, short, full-lane closures on the Bronx River Parkway northbound and southbound today in Scarsdale and Greenburgh.

The lane closures will take place at about 9:30 a.m. and last for about five to ten minutes each, according to the Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation.

The closures are expected at exit 10 and exit 12, between Harney Road and Crane Road.

"Traffic will be stopped so that crews can remove debris from the edge of the roadway," according to the announcement.

"Upon completion of the southbound side of the parkway, work will immediately proceed to the northbound side in the same vicinity," according to the announcement. "Traffic will then be stopped on the northbound side so crews can remove debris on that portion of the roadway."

The county is advising commuters to take alternate routes during the road work.
