A layer of snow isn't enough to damper a bundle of Gaelic spirit -- crews in White Plains Friday afternoon were clearing the early-morning precipitation and preparing for Saturday's St. Patrick's Day parade.
When asked is the squall would affect the fete, organizer John Martin was brief.
"Not in the least!" he penned in an email. "Full speed ahead and 50 degrees tomorrow."
William Bertram, with the Police Emerald Society of Westchester, agreed.
"No problems are anticipated," he said. "I am sure the the Department of Public Works will do an outstanding job."
The city's 16th annual parade will begin at noon, and feature performances by the O'Rourke School of Irish Dance, and pipes-and-drum bands. Michael J. Daly will act as grandmaster.
