Traffic Alert: BRP Lane Closures Wednesday

Multiple Lane closures are scheduled on the Bronx River Parkway and Sprain Parkway late Wednesday morning.

Three lane closures scheduled for mid-morning Wednesday are expected to cause delays along the Bronx River and Sprain Brook Parkway.

Two lanes will be closed on the Bronx River Parkway near the Sprain Brook Parkway merge and the Midland Ave. Bridge in Yonkers. One lane on the Sparin Brook Parkway will also be closed in the area.

Weather permiting, the lanes will close from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.

The closures are necessary for crews to replace roadway traffic sensors on the Bronx River Parkway. For additional information, contact Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation-Traffic Engineering Division at 995-2555.
