Work Begins On New Playground at the Post Road School

Danny Corsetti from P. Corsetti Inc. in Mamaroneck, smooths out a portion of the bottom field at the Post Road School in White Plains Wednesday afternoon.

The work is being done so the area can be blacktopped for a new playground.

A group of parent volunteers worked for two years to help raise the $75,000 needed for the new project. The White Plains school district allocated $50,000 for the project as part of a bond referendum that was approved by the public in October

A group of volunteers hope to gather and construct the new playground in late August.
