White Plains Candidates Forum Scheduled for Oct. 24

Candidates in this year's White Plains mayoral and common council race are expected to appear at the forum, which is being hosted by the League of Women Voters and the White Plains Neighborhood Association.

The League of Women Voters of White Plains and the White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations are hosting a forum for the candidates in this year’s White Plains mayoral and common council race on Oct. 24.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. inside the White Plains Library, located at 100 Martine Ave.

The Democratic candidates in this year’s race are Mayor Thomas Roach and council hopefuls John B. Kirkpatrick, John Martin and Beth Smayda. All of the Democratic candidates in this year’s race are incumbents.

The Republican candidates in this year’s race are Cass Cibelli for mayor and Claudia Murphy, Carl Albanese and Anne Marie Encarnacao for common council.
