Beta Alpha Alpha Foundation Scholarship Awards

Westchester County: The Beta Alpha Alpha Foundation in conjunction with
Beta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will celebrate 25
years of providing scholarships to four students at their Annual Scholarship
Gala ("Gala") on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 12:00 PM at the
Crowne Plaza, 66 Hale Avenue, White Plains, NY.  Donation is $125.00 per person
(parking included).


 Each
of the scholarship winners received $1,000, which can be applied to tuition,
books, housing or other learning materials.  In addition, the winner of the
Memorial Award, Kayode
Ezike
received an additional $500.  Stipends will also award to past scholarship
recipients in the amounts of $500 and $250.

 Rejon Taylor-Foster:  Mount Vernon High School, Mount
Vernon, NY attending Becker College-Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worchester, MA and majoring in
Interactive Media Design and Game Development and Programming.


 Antonio-Lalik Arthur:  High School of Computers and
Technology, Bronx, NY attending New York City College of Technology and majoring
in Civil Engineering.

 Nelson
Barreiro-Corono:
 
White Plains High School, White Plains, NY attending the University of
Rochester, Rochester, NY and
majoring in Microbiology.


 Kayode Ezike: 
New Rochelle High School, New Rochelle, NY attending Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA and majoring in Electrical
Engineering.


Beta
Alpha Alpha Foundation ("Foundation") is a 501 (C) (3) not-for-profit
corporation which has used the proceeds from the Gala to fund scholarships for
deserving Black and Latino high school seniors.   The Foundation has distributed
over $160,000.00 through to high achieving students in Westchester County to
attend colleges and universities throughout the United States.


 Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on November 17, 1911, at
Howard University, Washington, D.C.  From its inception the fraternity has been
an organization dedicated to scholarship, friendship and humanitarian efforts. 
The outreach and concern continues to manifest in Beta Alpha Alpha Chapter’s
current involvement as they celebrate 31 years of community
service.
