Shona mbira music of Zimbabwe is contagiously exciting and soulful and it's coming to Curious-on-Hudson! MbiraNYC, a band featuring the traditional songs that have been handed down by generations of mbira masters will bring their beautiful music to you, in an interactive concert party.
Come join Mbira NYC at a Zimbabwe style concert-party, where the audience is part of the band! Everyone is invited to sing, dance, clap, and even play! We will teach you the words, dance steps and show you where the beat is! You are also welcome to sit and watch if you like.
