The Digital Arts Experience Studio To Host Business “Tech Tools” Workshop on April 10th

NOTE: This event was originally slated for March 5, however, due to the bad weather, the event has been postponed until APRIL 10th (same times).

Technology is supposed to make our lives easier, yet instead, it often ends up confusing, frustrating and stressing out its users. The average person spends half of his or her waking hours using technology – either online, on a phone or watching TV – and studies show that heavy technology use can lead to sleep disorders, mental health issues and increased stress. To help small business owners turn this stress into success, The Digital Arts Experience, Constant Contact and theONswitch Marketing will debut “Treats, Toys, and Business Tools” at 6:30pm on March 6th at The Digital Arts Experience studio and co-working space at 170 Hamilton Ave, Suite 100 in White Plains. This original networking event and workshop will be a departure from mundane business networking, and teach attendees business techniques and strategies they can actually use.

The Digital Arts Experience is a unique venue in White Plains that offers studio space for photographers and videographers, co-working space for entrepreneurs, a fully-equipped sound studio and digital media classes.

Photography/videography sponsor, The Booth, will unveil a new photo booth technology which combines traditional “capturing the moment” with new-age social media. The innovation will be integrated with the newest surface tablet technology on the market.

Nancy A. Shenker, Founder and CEO of theONswitch, will lead an interactive workshop on social media and e-  marketing designed to help users turn gadgets and apps into business tools that generate profit and save money.  “I'm going to share my top 10 technology 'picks' that can simplify business owners' lives and make them smarter and richer,” says Shenker, “Everyone loves educational and inspirational toys, as well as gadgets and apps which have a real business benefit!”

Attendees can receive shoulder and neck massages from sponsor Emmary Day Spa and sample “Digitinis,” a vodka-based cocktail from International Spirits & Wines and Corx. Tickets to the event cost $10 and all proceeds will be donated to MOUSE, an organization that helps empower students to succeed in today’s information society. Additional sponsors include Customer’s Bank, the Microsoft Store, Vpak Media, and Johnson Truck.
