The Wizard of Oz Through a Spiritual Lens

The characters in the Wizard of Oz have much to teach us about true character and the middot/soul-traits that we need to cultivate in our own lives to live a life of meaning and integrity. What might this movie also have to teach us about prayer, false gods, friendship and confronting evil in the world?  How is it a metaphor for the universal spiritual journey that each of us is on?  Please review the movie before attending this session, and be prepared to discover new spiritual perspectives on Dorothy, her friends and her enemies.
