Helping Students to Overcome a Legacy of Underachievement

Through the presentation of actual cases, learn how school counselors can work as change agents for students and families to address problems of student underachievement and lack of access to higher education.

Presented by Marissa Giujarro, M.S.Ed., a professor with the School Counseling Program at LIU Hudson at Rockland.  Prof. Giujarro is also a school counselor at Suffern High School and past president of the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland Counseling Association and currently a state delegate to the annual assembly of the National Association for School Counseling.
