"Les Inconstantes" Play Baroque

LES INCONSTANTES Joyce Chen, harpsichord, and Jeanne Dorche, viola da gamba, will present baroque music by Bach, Marais, Scarlatti and Telemann. The concert is free and open to the public. A reception follows.

JOYCE, a doctoral student in harpsichord at Stony Brook University, performs frequently with the Stony Brook Baroque Players. She is music director at St. Pauls’ Episcopal Church in Patchogue and organist at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Hauppauge.

JEANNE, currently a master’s degree student in cello at Mannes College, has a deep interest in early music. She plays the bass viol, and has found it a fulfilling and complementary experience to practice both cello and gamba concurrently. Jeanne recently recorded “The Beauty Way” by Debra Kaye with Empire Viols.

Joyce and Jeanne co-founded “Les Inconstantes” in March 2013.

Free parking in the church lots on Bryant Avenue.
