Up-Cycling Sweaters Into Hats Workshop with Debra Rapoport

For centuries women have worn hats that make bold fashion
statements. Rapoport will teach participants to make hats from recycled
materials brought from home; buttons, cloth, feathers, etc., and construction
will be centered on hand stitching, with options to embellish the surfaces. Sweaters
have been kindly donated by Eileen Fisher.

 Rapoport,
a native New Yorker, has a long history of creating accessories with recycled
and found materials, and formally studied painting, textile and costume design
on both the east and west coast.
