Volunteer Training for the Child Abuse Prevention Center

You can help us prevent child abuse one family at a
time.



 The
Child Abuse Prevention Center is offering a 12-hour Volunteer training, taught
by the Center's professional staff which will include information about child
abuse and neglect, child and family development, effective discipline,
parenting skills, relationship building, and stress relief and anger management
techniques and other pertinent topics.

Two Daytime Fridays, September 13 and
20, both from 8:45AM-3PM 

A one-hour orientation session, scheduled at your convenience, is a prelude to participating in training. At this meeting you can find out more about our Center and our many volunteer opportunities.  It will give you a chance to have your questions answered.  Orientations are scheduled now.

(If you need an evening or Saturday training, please call.  We would like to schedule one for October or November.)



 As a Volunteer you
can expect quality training and guidance, work experience, personal growth and
reward, opportunities for new friendships and the feeling of being needed and
appreciated. 



 We will be
happy to answer any questions you may have. 
Both orientation and training take place at our offices at 7 Holland
