Westchester Chordsmen Chorus to Conduct Audition Night for Singers, November 19
The renowned Westchester Chordsmen Chorus is
offering a one-night only opportunity for men who sing, to audition and join
the Chorus. To secure an audition time, singers can apply on-line at http://chordsmen.org/join-us/ or by calling 914-713-4511. Auditions will take place Tuesday, November 19 between 7:00-10:00 pm at the White Plains Middle (Highlands) School, 128 Grandview Avenue, White Plains.
“This is a
great opportunity for singers in Westchester and surrounding areas to try-out
for a dynamic group dedicated to musical excellence,” said Keith Harris, world-renowned operatic baritone and Chordsmen conductor.
“Last season, we performed in Carnegie Hall and
toured Toronto. As an award-winning chorus we have sang in Ireland,
China, Russia and even to the White House.”
Chorus President John Fotia says, “We are very
excited to offer the opportunity to our community. We know there lots of men
who love to sing in the shower or their car! Now, we’re giving them a chance to
come on stage with us and perform for appreciative audiences. In fact, we are
having a terrific holiday on December 7, presenting Westchester Chordsmen
Christmas Carol…..a very DIFFERENT version of the classic story, told with
dramatic humor and songs.”
