The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital and Burke Medical Research Institute will honor Lauren Manning, Ron Cohen, M.D., and David Carmel with the 2012 Burke Award during the Burke Award Reception on June 7 at The Ritz Carlton of Westchester.

The Burke Award is the highest honor bestowed by Burke and its board of the directors. It is presented to individuals or groups who have demonstrated strength in overcoming a disability, those whose efforts have contributed to helping people with disability gain independence, those who have made significant contributions to science that led to a better understanding of physical disability or for those who have made contributions to the development of rehabilitation. 

The Burke Award Reception will be held from 6-9 p.m. on June 7 at The Ritz Carlton of Westchester, 3 Renaissance Square in White Plains. This event is open to the public but prior registration is required. 

Tickets are available to the 2012 Burke Award for $225 each and can be reserved by contacting Colleen Borrelli at (914) 597-2849 or via email atcborrelli@burke.org.

Corporate sponsorship opportunities for the Burke Award are available from $1,500 to $25,000. View the 2012 ticket reservation form and the corporate sponsorship packages form.
